C2 mint: Lincoln, moneyer: Turstain. A die match to BMC 437, attributed there as possibly the moneyer Swein, but confirmed as Turstein in Mossop plate XCI nos. 9 and 10.

A continental imitation of a penny of Edward I; a crockard sterling of John II of Avesnes, Count of Hainault. Struck at Mons AD 1291-7.

Less common than the I COMES HANONIE sterlings. Mayhew 34. +:IOhˉS:COMЄS: hANONIЄ, the abbrev'n mark between h and S makes it look like an R .
